Designed as an updated version of the best-selling Valdus line, XARUS extends the concept with a new choice of finishes and options (including AV Shielding), as well as updated versions of all the drive units and a sleek new appearance. Performance has been significantly enhanced. Wharfedale sees this product as a key tool to help expand its growing influence in the Home DJ / Youth and AV Markets.

The most significant upgrade for Xarus series is the new tweeter. The 25mm soft dome, ferrofluid cooled unit extends performance beyond 24KHz whilst a protection bar system prevents any physical damage to the unit.
A neodymium magnet is used in the construction of the tweeter. A high flux density allows for extremely high-power from the minimum weight and size.
The new Polypropylene cone is an elliptical low-distortion unit capable of handling even extreme dynamics with ease - perfect for AV use.
All models are equipped with Bi-Wirable terminals for high quality applications, reducing driver intermodulation. Xarus Centre will be magnetically shielded for AV use.
